Brains > Brawn, a community blog challenged issued by NerdExp. I have one simple answer to this...and yes it is Pokémon related. Whenever I think of the most intelligent being, I think of none other than the original God of Pokémon. Small and cute, this Pokémon's DNA created every single other creature (or so it's said to be). There is no other Pokémon like it.
That Pokemon is Mew.
"Who do you think is the smartest characters in media? Who has the capability, knowledge and intuition necessary to outwit their opponents but isn’t capable of defeating them in combat? Only heroes or villains, or the in-between guys, who are mentally gifted but physically weak should be included."
In the first Pokémon film, Mew compared to Mewtwo was the underdog. It was cute and carefree, while Mewtwo was vicious and organized. Yet, Mew was able to combat everything with ease. It out smarted it's opponent in almost every move. Possibly because Mew is capable of learning every single Pokemon move known, even transform (a move exclusive to Ditto, another character I would fear). Mew is classified as the "new species Pokémon", hence targeted by a lot of scientists. Mewtwo is it's only successful clone and Ditto (perceived by the fan base) is a failed clone.
Mew acts as if it has no idea what is going on, yet it knows exactly what is going on. As a psychic type Pokémon telepathy is one of it's strong points. Not only that, but Mew is a fast Pokémon giving it the ability to flee or fight at will. I bet Mew can predict what is going to happen before it happens, hence how the entire movie it remains practically unscathed.
Mew has both capability, knowledge and intuition necessary to outwit opponents. It also has the ability to totally annihilate them with attacks if necessary. Mew is pretty much a jack of all trades. It may seem like a dumbfounded Pokémon, but don't let it's cute looks fool you, it is literally capable of doing anything!
If you want to see Mew in action watch the first Pokemon film "Pokémon: The First Movie" and/or "Lucario and the Mystery of Mew". Which both are fully available on YouTube...
