Style? What is style? Is it the way one walks? The way one talks? The way one looks? Style leaves an impression of a person, since it after all is just a manner of doing something. Many aspire to be the most iconic or the most fashionable, but that's just outer appearance. What matters is on the inside, and typically the personality will glow. It's always refreshing to see someone chipper and happy, being positive, even in times when it seems so grim.
This week's theme by Lost_in_Translation is Style!
The Challenge:
"What I'd like people to do this week, is write about their favorite character or type of style in movies, TV, or video games! This could be anything from a character's general personality, to the things they wear, to how they go about doing their business. I'd like to hear what people think makes these characters stylish. More importantly, what's so unique about them that sets their style apart from others? Or if you don't want to talk about a specific character, talk about a film or game that had a particularly unique style. It doesn't mean the game had to be the best ever to you, but I do hope you have some unique choices and titles that you really loved in part due to how stylish it came off."
My favorite style would be those who walk with positive attitudes. That even in the darkest hours, they shine bright! The optimistic style sometimes is a rare case. I tend to run into a lot more negative people than positive, hence why seeing such a jolly style is uplifting. Whenever a happy person walks into a room, the mood is generally lifted to a better place.
Oerba Dia Vanille
Final Fantasy XIII (2009 JP)
"Wishes can come true, but not if you just wait for miracles. Miracles are things we make for ourselves, here and now."
Lara Croft
Tomb Raider (2013)
"A famous explorer once said, that the extraordinary is in what we do, not who we are. I'd finally set out to make my mark; to find adventure. But instead adventure found me. In our darkest moments, when life flashes before us, we find something; Something that keeps us going. Something that pushes us."
Agnès Oblige
Bravely Default (2013 JP)
"Unacceptable!"
Now these 3 aren't my favorite characters ever, but I like their attitudes. Not only that they are quite fashionable. Vanille wears my favorite Final Fantasy XIII outfit, it's just so cute and fun! Lara Croft sporting the tattered worn out work, obviously from the hardship she endured and Agnes, her normal garb is plain, but all her different job outfits make her look fabulous!
